| Details of Vacancy*: | The IT Network Administrator is responsible to Install, setup, and monitor local area network (LAN). Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure LAN performance meets company and user requirements. Primary Responsibilities • Administer network workstations, utilizing one or more TCP/IP or non-TCP/IP networking protocols and/or one or more Windows-based or non-Windows based operating systems. • Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions. • Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; • Add or upgrade and configures modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment. • Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users. • Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being process! ed, stored or accessed by the network. • Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. Skills • Strong IT background, systems and Software; o Software: Software: C/C++, SQL, Access, Java, JSP, HTML, Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic .Net, Microsoft C# Oracle, ASP, Macromedia DreamWeaver. o Operating Systems: Windows NT 4, Windows2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003. • Troubleshooting PCs and providing helpdesk support. • Problem solving skills involving both hardware and software. • Able to analyze data and suggest techniques and requirements. • Strong negotiation, communication, attention to detail, time management, and leadership skills. • Ability to work independently and maintain focus under pressure • Strong negotiation and presentation skills • Excellent team player • Knowledge of Insurance Industry is a plus. • Communication, attention to detail, time management and leadership skills. Education • Masters/Bachelor's in computer science; MCSE /CCNA certified.
